Call for Proposals

Purpose

To fund radiology research that advances the understanding, diagnosis, and treatment of spine pathology. Strong consideration will be given to applicants who are EARLY-CAREER investigators and for projects that have the potential for subsequent grant applications to the NIH, other governmental agencies, and foundations.

Applicability

This funding mechanism provides awards of up to $20,000 for a 1-year project to support the preliminary pilot phase of scientific projects. This grant cannot be used to supplement previously acquired substantial funding.

Timeline

Application deadline: OCTOBER 1 (11:59 PM EST)

Finalists announced: NOVEMBER 17

Finalists will present their proposal at the annual ASSR symposium, February 25-28, 2026, Four Seasons, New Orleans, LA, at a closed-door session. The Committee will announce the awardee no later than 2 weeks after the conclusion of the annual meeting.
