Purpose 1) To review the diagnostic criteria and grading systems of central canal stenosis and foraminal stenosis in cervical and lumbar spines in previous literatures based on MRI 2) To propose our new grading systems of central canal stenosis and foraminal stenosis in cervical and lumbar spines on MRI Materials & Methods 1) To compare previously reported grading systems with our new methods in evaluation of central canal stenosis and foraminal stenosis in cervical and lumbar spines on MRI, based on clinical cases: focused on their reliability, clinical applicability, correlation with symptom, and limitations 2) To discuss what we should consider for development of a new grading systems of central canal stenosis and foraminal stenosis in the future Results CONTENT ORGANIZATION 1) Previously reported diagnostic criteria and grading systems 2) Our new criteria and grading system 3) Comparison the previously reported grading systems with our new grading systems, based on clinical cases 4) Ideas to design new grading systems in the future Conclusion By overviewing previously reported grading systems and our new ones, Visitors will have a good chance to compare them each other based on clinical cases, get to understand their advantages and limitations and have a creative ideas to invent new grading systems in the future.  References 1.
