Purpose
To present a location-based approach and diagnostic checklist for the on-call radiologist confronted by spine MR. We emphasize the importance of the clinical scenario in the decision making process, from protocol to interpretation. Potential pitfalls and mimics are also discussed.
Methods & Materials
We retrospectively reviewed a wide array of spine MR cases presenting through the ED during the past five years at our Level I trauma center. Cases were categorized according to clinical history and pathologies were organized by location. We sought to identify the most pertinent imaging sequences and the distinguishing differential features.
Results
