Purpose

Attention on the facet joint as a source for low back pain has waxed and waned over the years, with interest increasing recently. Facet arthropathy has various etiologies yet unique imaging manifestations. In this education exhibit, we review radiographic findings of the common and some of the uncommon etiologies of the facet syndrome as well as discuss the treatment options based upon imaging manifestations of these diverse entities.
